My Therapeutic Approach

I work relationally, which means I believe change happens through a safe, trusting and authentic therapeutic relationship.

My approach draws on:

  • Psychodynamic therapy, exploring how past experiences and relationships may still influence the present
  • Person-centred therapy, offering empathy, acceptance and respect
  • A strong focus on emotional awareness, attachment and relational patterns

I work collaboratively, without judgement or pressure, and adapt therapy to suit each individual rather than using rigid techniques or formulas.

Working With Young People

Supporting young people is a significant part of my practice. I offer therapy to young people aged 11 and above, providing a consistent and supportive space to explore emotions, relationships and identity.

I am experienced in working with safeguarding concerns and always place the young person's wellbeing, safety and confidentiality at the centre of the work, while also maintaining appropriate boundaries and communication with parents or carers when required.

Professional Standards

I am accredited by the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS) and work in accordance with their ethical framework. I engage in regular supervision and ongoing professional development to ensure my work remains ethical, reflective and effective.
